A Heartfelt Testimonial from Paul Meshke and his Westie

Dear Dr. Adelia,

I have a 6-year-old Westie who about two years ago began developing lesions on his nose. I'm not sure if they hurt him, or itched, but he would rub his nose on the carpet, or scratch until it would bleed. The vet prescribed antibiotics, which made them go away for about a month, then they would reappear.

After a couple of visits the vet said she had no idea what they were and suggested a biopsy, which I decided I would do only as a last resort. It was also suggested that he see a "Westie allergy specialist." Several different products were recommended, none of which had any affect on the problem.
Before having the biopsy done I thought I would give your product, Hot Spot Salve, a try. I purchased a jar, used it as directed for three days, the lesions disappeared, and after two months have not returned. The dog does not rub his nose, the sores are gone, and the hair has grown back where it had been rubbed off.
I am not sure what is in your product that worked, but it sure did. I will recommend this product to all the Westie owners I come in contact with.

Does your dog have tear stains?

Greetings, Folks!

A quick note from the dog park yesterday.  I met a couple who has four snowy white Maltese with NO tear stains on their faces.  I wondered if they used a prevention product like Angel Eyes, or if they used a stain remover.

Well, no!  It's so much simpler than that. These people accidentally discovered that pure well water or bottled water fed to their dogs instead of normal tap water is all it takes to prevent those ugly rust-colored facial stains.  Apparently something in our public drinking water (like fluoride, possibly) is causing this.

Please try a change of water!  According to this couple it only takes a few days to notice the difference.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if we didn't have to give our pets internal potions to counteract something that their drinking water is causing?

Let us hear from you on this!

Best wishes for healthy pets... Dr Adelia

Got "Groomer's Hands"? Detergent Dermatitis?

We have been hearing from groomers!  They are telling us we've been marketing one of our products all wrong.

DERMagic Cell Restoration Crème is for dog skin that's healing after an infection has been vanquished, for that tender new pink skin that's renewing itself as the old dead skin flakes and peels away.  It's also for Chinese Cresteds, famously naked and very sensitive-skinned.  Also, it does wonders for cracked paw pads from hot pavement or icy sidewalks in winter, or chapped noses, or for helping surgical incisions heal more quickly.

But when groomers started using it, they discovered something wonderful:  It helped their hands too!  They tell us that we should recommend all groomers use this product on their hands at night, after a full day of dunking in shampoos and who knows what kinds of potions.

So we're recommending it!  DERMagic Cell Restoration Crème isn't just for dogs any more!  It's organic, made with shea butter, sesame oil, aloe gel, rosemary essential oil (great for skin!) and vitamin E.  All organic, pure and natural... and so moisturizing.

Groomers!  We know you're ordering this product for yourselves, and it's OK with us!  And ladies, it's fantastic for neck and cleavage, or for dry skin on legs, and for elbows, and for removing make-up, and for softening those heels for summer shoes, and......

Got a Stinky Dog? Is Bathing the Answer?

Do you bathe your dog too often?  Most people do, especially those with small dogs.

The Daily Kibble blog for today talks about stinky dogs and bathing.  If your dog is seriously smelly, if you see chunky dandruff, especially around the rump and tail area, or if his coat is dull and greasy feeling, your dog isn't dirty.  He has an infection causing an excessive production of sebum (from sebaceous glands in the skin).  Bathing will do nothing for this problem except make it worse.

Take a look underneath your dog, around the belly, teats and genitals.  If you see specks that you may have mistaken for dirt or "old age", and they don't rub off or disappear with bathing, your pet is infected with a common fungus of the yeast variety, and you've probably also had some problems with yeast in the ears.

This calls for DERMagic Skin Rescue Lotion.  Bathing will not solve this problem, but this amazing product will get rid of the fungus, clear up your dog's skin, end the seborrhea, and restore your furry love to beautiful condition, without steroids or harsh veterinary shampoos.

Give it a try with no risk.  All DERMagic products are guaranteed to end skin problems, fast!
