Did you ever wonder why our Skin Rescue Lotion was once named "Hot Spot Lotion"? Well, back in the day, we believed that hot spots were the most common skin problem in dogs and that customers would be looking for this name in the product name. It turns out that "allergies" and "yeast" and "alopecia" and "hair loss" and "mange" and "black skin disease" and so many other names for dermatological problems are just as common. In fact, it seems that so-called allergies are the most commonly diagnosed skin disease in dogs these days.
For customers who are looking for a product that will help their animal (and we mean "cure", not just relieve symptoms temporarily), the term "hot spot" is not going to be their top search word.
What our lotion does is eliminate skin disease that's caused by an infection or infestation, whether it's mites, bacteria, fungus (and yeast) or just an insect bite.
